Why Estatewell exists
Estate transitions ask a lot of the people navigating them. The property should not have to be the hardest part.
When a home is inherited or left vacant, someone still has to look after it. That responsibility can be especially difficult when the person in charge lives elsewhere or does not have someone local they trust to help.
Too often, families are left coordinating contractors, clean-outs, repairs, maintenance, property access, and sale preparation on their own, sometimes from hundreds of miles away. Without one person overseeing the whole picture, small problems can become larger ones, and families are left wondering what is happening, what needs attention, and who they can trust to handle it well.
Estatewell exists to provide that trusted local presence, bringing calm, structured oversight to homes in transition.
Meet the founder
Melanie Gray founded Estatewell after experiencing the problem herself.
When her mother passed away, Melanie found herself responsible for managing her property from a distance, without family nearby she could rely on to oversee everything that needed to happen. Individual service providers were available, but there was no clear resource designed to manage the property as a whole on her behalf.
That experience revealed a gap: families could find people to perform individual tasks, but finding someone they could trust to oversee the property, coordinate the moving pieces, and keep the transition moving forward was much harder.
Estatewell was built to close that gap.
Melanie brings more than a decade of experience leading strategy and program management for organizations including McDonald’s and Brinker International, where her work centered on bringing structure, accountability, and clarity to complex initiatives.
Today, she applies that same discipline to estate property stewardship, helping families and fiduciaries oversee properties, coordinate vendors and necessary work, and manage the physical transition of a home with care and precision.
Melanie is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® and brings knowledge and insight shaped by more than 10 years in the real estate industry. She believes that even during life’s most difficult transitions, the people responsible for a property deserve to know it is being cared for, what is happening, and what comes next.
How Estatewell works
Estatewell serves as a trusted local presence for the property, providing consistent oversight and a single point of coordination throughout the transition.
Every engagement begins with a clear understanding of the property, its current needs, and the responsibilities Estatewell will oversee. From there, we provide documented property oversight, clear communication, and coordination of the work needed to keep the home secure, maintained, and moving toward its next chapter.
When outside services are needed, we coordinate with a vetted network of local vendors, including cleaners, landscapers, handymen, stagers, and other property professionals. Estatewell remains the point of coordination, so clients do not have to manage multiple vendors and moving parts from a distance.

Estatewell is designed especially for out-of-area executors, heirs, and fiduciaries who need a trusted local presence in North Texas.
When you cannot easily check on the property yourself, Estatewell provides the oversight, documentation, communication, and coordination needed to help you understand what is happening at the property, what needs attention, and what comes next.
We keep our client roster intentionally small so every property receives focused, personal attention from the initial assessment through the completion of our stewardship.
