ABOUT ESTATEWELL
Quiet, professional stewardship for properties in transition
Estatewell provides calm, structured oversight for inherited, vacant, and transition-state homes across North Texas.
Why Estatewell exists
Estate transitions ask a lot of the people navigating them. The property should not have to be the hardest part.
Too often, inherited or vacant homes sit unattended, managed inconsistently, or passed between vendors without clear oversight. Small problems become larger ones, and the people responsible are left wondering what is happening, what needs attention, and who they can trust to handle it well.
Estatewell exists to provide calm, structured oversight for homes in transition.
Meet the founder
Melanie Gray founded Estatewell after more than a decade leading strategy and program management for organizations including McDonald’s and Brinker International. Across those roles, her work centered on the same thing: bringing clarity and structure to situations that needed both.
When her own family navigated the loss of a loved one, she saw firsthand how little support exists for the people managing a property from a distance, often while grieving and often without a clear next step.
Estatewell was built to close that gap. Melanie brings the same discipline she once applied to enterprise operations to estate property stewardship, guiding families and fiduciaries through property oversight, vendor coordination, and disposition planning with care and precision.
She holds a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification and brings knowledge and insight shaped by more than 10 years in the real estate industry. She believes that even in life’s most difficult transitions, families deserve a process that feels organized, respectful, and clear.
Built from lived experience
Estatewell was born from necessity, not theory. After her mother passed away, Melanie found herself managing the home from a distance while also navigating grief, practical decisions, and the realities of everyday life.
What she needed was simple but difficult to find: someone who could walk the property, document its condition, coordinate what needed attention, and communicate clearly so informed decisions could be made from afar.
Estatewell was created to fill that gap for other families and fiduciaries facing the same kind of transition.
How Estatewell works
We approach every property with care, documentation, and clear communication. Every engagement is scoped thoughtfully, every plan is agreed upon before work begins, and every step is handled with the kind of structure attorneys, executors, and fiduciaries can rely on.
We also coordinate with a vetted network of local vendors, including cleaners, landscapers, handymen, and stagers, so clients do not have to manage another set of moving parts during an already demanding season.
Why clients trust Estatewell
Estatewell is designed especially for out-of-state heirs, fiduciaries, and professionals who need a trusted local presence in North Texas. When you cannot easily check on the property yourself, Estatewell provides the oversight, communication, and coordination needed to help you stay informed and in control.
We also keep our client roster intentionally small so each property receives focused, personal attention from first assessment through final resolution.
